What if every bookstore and library in the world decided to take all of the books off of there shelves.
What if they then stocked every shelf around the planet with billions of copies of the same book.
This would mean everyone would be reading the same thing at the same time.
Think about how easy it would be to carry on a conversation with a complete stranger, and not feel odd at all, because they were literally on the same page as you...or at least in the same book.
This would bring people together from all walks of life. Vagrants and Corporate Executives, Hippies and Republicans, Muslims and Christians, Grandmothers and Gangsters...All sitting down over a cup of coffee or tea (or chocolate milk or beer for that matter) discussing their views on chapter 3.
Think about how many preconceived notions would be shattered once we got to know one another.
Then when we were finished with that book we'd start a new one...and repeat the process over and over again.
Just a thought...maybe a pipe dream.
But then again maybe we could put a little effort towards having conversation with that complete stranger...
Even if they're not on the same page.
Maybe...just maybe the most interesting stories are found in the pages of a stranger.
